Ten years after opening her store in Arrowtown, Trudy Munro is still loving the long hours of the fashion industry.

Ms Munro said she was thrilled to be a part of the Wakatipu "recelebrate your wedding" competition, which gives married couples in the district a chance to relive their big day.

"It's a great occasion to be involved in. Weddings are lovely."

From her perspective, a bride's wedding day is all about the dress, and she cannot wait to refit the lucky winner.

"I enjoy the styling and I like to complete the picture."

She said weddings were a "great party", all about family and "hopefully about love".

Ms Munro has always had an interest in fashion and came from a "long line of seamstresses" so it was no surprise to those who know her when she opened Nemo Workroom in 2001.

Four years ago, she relocated to Frankton and six months ago rebranded as Nemo Wardrobe and dedicated the entire front room to weddings.

The store stocks pearls, veils and, of course, dresses.

She said what set her store apart was the variety of dresses in one location.

"We have things that are completely different and we can then transfer and transform in the workroom."

The dresses are either imported from America, made on site or sold on behalf of others.

Ms Munro said although the job required long hours and hard work she felt fortunate to be doing what she loved and being paid for it.

The competition is being run in conjunction with Collective Hair Design and Still Photography.

Couples can enter the competition at Collective Hair Design, Still Photography or Nemo Wardrobe. Entries close on December 14.
