A new fully equipped recording studio will be launched at a function in Wanaka tonight.
Glenn Hight (left), Tim Volkov (centre) and Eliot Finch, of Wanaka Studios, say they have spent ''tens of thousands'' of dollars creating the sound-proofed studio, against a trend for such studios in other parts of the country to be closing.
They plan to offer a rehearsal and recording service to musicians, and tuition in guitar, mandolin, drums and other instruments.
