There is still no sign of Queenstown man Matthew Hamill, who went missing on Wednesday.
The 59-year-old's car, a silver Mitsubishi Diamante sedan, registration BTF577, was found parked at the Roaring Meg power station lookout, in the Kawarau Gorge, on Thursday morning.
Sergeant Linda Stevens, of Queenstown, said last evening there had been no further reports of sightings.
