A Riverbank Rd property owner reported two merino sheep were "seriously" mauled in a dog attack on Saturday night.
The owner had to destroy the sheep.
Const Sean Hurley warned rural property owners to be vigilant.
"It won't be the end of it, as once they [the offending dogs] get the taste for it they tend to do it again."
