Ms Andrews said it was the greatest recognition of the Chinese New Year period, of January 31 to February 9, the airport had yet made.
It was important for the terminal to present a welcoming first impression for the increasing number of Oriental tourists expected.
The decorations were already drawing compliments from Chinese visitors, Ms Andrews said.
