Mr Stanley returned on Wednesday from promoting the Rollawipa - a green plastic sleeve used to clean paint rollers - at a huge hardware and trade expo in the United States to find orders pouring in for his "simple" invention.
"We're talking initial orders in the container-loads," he said.
He was being kept busy replying to the many business contacts he had made at the Las Vegas hardware convention.
"I've had about 98 expressions of interest from suppliers, distributors, and buyers from the US, Canada, China, and Japan," he said.
He was hopeful of signing several significant supply and distribution contracts within the next month.
The $30,000 he had spent for himself and a marketing team of four people to travel to Las Vegas would more than "pay for itself," given the initial orders from overseas businesses.
