Zirka Circus in town

Zirka Circus performer Xinye (Lily) Ge (18), a juggler, illusionist and magician, strikes a pose outside the big top in Queenstown yesterday afternoon ahead of the circus' first performance in the resort last night.

The circus, entitled ''Send in the Clowns'', features 17 performers, the youngest aged 13, all from China who have attended circus school.

There will be performances at Warren Park, Gorge Rd, tonight and tomorrow night at 7pm, on Saturday at 2pm and 7pm and Sunday at 1pm and 4.30pm.

The circus moves to Alexandra next week.
