Berry's adventures hit at film festival

Base jumping daredevil Chuck Berry's presentation at the Winter Games Film Festival during the weekend was so popular it could have been held twice, Reading Cinema Queenstown manager Rebekah Moore said.

Berry's talk about his adventures and films was "very inspirational and he had the whole audience laughing", she said yesterday.

"I didn't actually realise what he has achieved. We could have sold that twice, it was so popular."

The festival, which ran from Friday night until Sunday night, also featured sponsored athlete Ben Brown as a guest speaker, and there were 12 snow-related adventure films.

Each night the screenings had sold out, which, Ms Moore said, showed the how well the festival was received.
