Aucklanders Eduardo Speranza and Nemi Turakhia take part in a workshop run by Sebastian Vera and Ellie Ladd at the Queenstown Salsa Festival yesterday.

The resort’s inaugural salsa and Latin dance festival, which began on Thursday and ends tomorrow, features some of New Zealand’s top teachers.

They are running workshops and bootcamps for nearly 150 dancers in bachata, salsa, reggaeton, musicality, salsa rueda, body movement and cha cha cha.

The festival has three nights of social events, culminating tonight with performances and a party at the Queenstown Memorial Centre.
