Hospice Southland has rebranded to Hospice South, signalling a stronger connection to Whakatipu communities. Chief executive Pete Thompson says the charity’s been supporting families in Queenstown for some time, has community nurses established here and is continuing to build on its presence, working alongside other organisations to broaden its service and improve access to palliative care. The name change, he says, is designed to ensure people across the region feel recognised and included in the care Hospice South provides.
