Former Australian prime minister John Howard will share his views on economics when the Property Council New Zealand holds its national conference in Queenstown next month.
Australia's second-longest serving premier is keynote speaker for the conference in the Millennium Hotel from September 5 to 7.
Mr Howard was scheduled to speak at the council's conference in Sydney last year, but had to cancel because of a health issue.
He is expected to address the topic of "economic opportunity in an uncertain world", with implications for New Zealand's commercial property sector.
"We're delighted he is addressing our group," council events and sponsorship director Sandy Watts-Stockton, of Auckland, said.
The Queenstown Lakes District Council said there were no official plans regarding Mr Howard's visit.
Also scheduled to speak are Michael Hill International deputy chairwoman Emma Hill and New Zealand psychologist Nigel Latta.
