A man was seriously injured in a paragliding crash in Arrowtown this afternoon.
A police spokeswoman said a paraglider "landed heavily" or fell in some way near Ramshaw Lane.
A 30-year-old man was airlifted to to Lakes District Hospital then transferred via helicopter to Dunedin Hospital with ''serious injuries''.
The spokeswoman earlier said it appeared the man had sustained a head injury.
