Two community projects have received a cash boost this Christmas.

Timaru’s Community Christmas Dinner and Waimate’s Christmas child projects have been given a total of $1500 ($1000 to the Timaru Community Christmas Dinner and $500 for Waimate’s Christmas Child) from the staff at Craigs Investment Partners.

Christchurch based investment adviser Phill Kinney said the firm of investment advisers encouraged "Staff Giving’’.

He said the firm had encouraged staff around the country to give to charities, with the company matching their giving dollar for dollar.

Mr Kinney said both of the selected community projects were fantastic causes which helped out people in the region.
