A police spokeswoman said emergency services were called to the single-vehicle crash on Tekapo-Twizel Rd (SH8) at about 8.20am.
The road is blocked while emergency services are in attendance.
"There are no reports of injuries," the spokeswoman said.
Traffic cameras in the region show frosty, foggy start to the day but it is unknown if weather conditions played a part in the crash.
Police urge motorists to take car while on the roads and drive to the conditions.
