Feedback on council sought

Clutha District Council ratepayers are being quizzed on the telephone about the council's performance as part of its annual residents' survey.

The survey, being conducted by the Southern Institute of Technology, started two weeks ago and runs until next week.

Council policy analyst Larissa Brown said residents would be called at random on weeknights between 5.30pm and 8.30pm. Questions would be asked about a range of council services including water, roading, waste, parks and reserves, as well as the overall performance of council.

The survey was an ideal opportunity for those contacted to express their views on the direction in which council and the district were heading, Mrs Brown said.
