Softer rock

Two popular Australasian singers are teaming up for a series of concerts across New Zealand.

Glenn Shorrock, the voice of Australia's Little River Band, and Jason Kerrison, lead singer of New Zealand's Opshop, will play in Balclutha on Saturday, July 2.

Project Clutha spokeswoman Sarah Van Asperen said the duo would ditch their hard-edged electric rock in favour of a "more intimate sound".

Balclutha singer Vicki Evans, who won the 2011 Gold Guitars title, will perform at the concert.
