The Superhero Disco Party for years 7 and 8 pupils was held on the same night as a Red Carpet-themed party for years 9 and 10 pupils.
It was one of several events organised by the Youth Council.
Buses brought pupils from other towns to the Balclutha War Memorial Hall. About 30 pupils of each age group attended each disco party and there were spot prizes for best dressed.
