Programme co-ordinator Irene Mosley said the event's organisers aimed to welcome people who had recently moved into the district - it could be farmers and their families or families who have settled in one of the district's towns.
She said it would be a great chance to meet and get to know others in the same situation.
The gathering will be held at the athletics clubrooms in Pearson Lane, Balclutha, on June 7 from 12.30pm.
Another key event during June will be International Men's Health Week from June 15 to 21.
Mrs Mosley said the week would deal with health issues facing men.
Male life expectancy was lower than it should be and the number of reported male-specific diseases such as prostate and testicular cancer was rising.
Other events in June include an educators and carers' workshop for those who work with people with disabilities.
This will be held at the Brian Dodds Room at Clutha Health First on June 17 from 3.30pm to 5.30pm and again at Milton that night between 7pm and 9pm.
A course on child first aid, providing basic skills to deal with life-threatening conditions that may affect children, will be held at the Milton St John rooms on Thursday, June 18, from 10am to 2.30pm.
A four-day "self discovery" course will run during the week, starting on June 22.
The fully-funded event aims to help expand a person's thinking and look at their potential differently.
