"Noeline is a devoted mother and grandmother who maintains her farm on a daily basis," her nominator said. "She is there assisting in any way she can, very humble and just gets on with it."
Mrs Milne volunteers or otherwise finds time or treasurer skills for Tokomairiro Historical Society, Bruce Museum, Combined Museums, Balclutha Genealogy Society the Vintage Car Club, Lovell’s Flat Women’s Institute and the local craft and machine knitting club.
"We moved here from Kai in 1988 and joining clubs is the way to meet people," she said. "It’s a pleasure to be a part of things and help where you can and I enjoy helping research the historical side of things."
