The name of the woman who died in a car crash near Balclutha last week has been released by police.
She was Helena Maria Houlden, of Tuatapere.
The 68-year-old was a passenger in an SUV vehicle which lost control and careered off the road at Stony Creek about 10km north of Balclutha on Wednesday last week.
She was thrown from the vehicle in the incident and died instantly.
The vehicle rolled several times before it stopped in a paddock about 30m from the road.
The woman's partner was airlifted to hospital with critical injuries.
