Deer velvet sentencing delayed

Sentencing in the case of an Invercargill deer velvet company which misrepresented the amount of the ingredient in its capsules has been delayed.

Gateway Solutions Ltd ( previously Silberhorn) and its director Ian Carline returned to court on Monday as  Mr Carline's lawyer Colin Withnall QC attempted to gain access to evidence using to critique the expert evidence of defence witness Dr Stephen Haines.

Last year the company admitted 26 charges relating to its deer velvet, while the company and Carline each admitted one count of withholding information from the commission.

Justice Gerald Nation reserved his judgement on Monday.
