Crank-up convener Neil Irwin said about 500 vintage and classic farm and military vehicles, farm machines, motorbikes and cars were present at the event.
This year's special guests were former Olympic rowers Caroline Meyer and Georgina Earl (nee Evers-Swindell).
"They were amazing.
"They spent so much time with the kids.
"They didn't go to the kids, the kids came to them," Mr Irwin said.
Mr Irwin was impressed by the tractor dancing, which was performed by a group of eight club members driving tractors in square dancing patterns to music.
South Island Tractor Trek participants organised an auction of donated goods and raised more than $6000 for the Child Cancer Foundation.
Fifty-one Tractor Trekkers are leaving Bluff on February 22 to drive 2500km to Blenheim and back.
