Mr Peat said it had "been a privilege to work alongside such a passionate and innovative business community," expressing pride in the work delivered by the chamber in his three years at the helm.
"I leave knowing the Wānaka Business Chamber is in a strong position for the future and look forward to continuing to support the wider business community through my next chapter," Mr Peat said.
Wānaka Business Chamber chairwoman Jo Learmonth said Mr Peat had made a significant contribution in his time in the role.
"Glenn has played an important role in strengthening connections across our business network and helping shape the Wānaka Business Chamber into what it is today.

The chamber said Mr Peat would remain in his role until after its annual meeting on May 25, his last day in the role coming on May 29.
Incoming general manager Ms Stuart was described as has having "held management and senior leadership roles across both national and global organisations," bringing broad experience across "FMCG, media, sport, tourism, environmental and community sectors."
Ms Stuart said she was looking to build on the organisation’s strong foundations.
"The Wānaka Business Chamber plays a vital role in supporting and connecting our local business community.
I’m looking forward to working alongside members and stakeholders to strengthen those connections and help shape a strong future for business in the Upper Clutha," Ms Stuart said.
