Commonwealth Games: First loss for bowler Smith

Singles bowler Val Smith had her first loss of the New Delhi Commonwealth Games today, going down to South African Helen Grundlingh in straight sets.

The only New Zealander in action in the morning session at the Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex, Smith was beaten 11-6 11-7 in the second round of section play.

She won her first round match last night.
