Cricket: Otago team unchanged

Otago has named an unchanged side for the match against Northern Districts in Alexandra on December 27.

Fast bowler James McMillan is still under an injury cloud.

He strained a quadricep muscle in a four-day match against Auckland last week and has missed selection.

Axed New Zealand opener Aaron Redmond is nursing a knee injury.

Otago coach Mike Hesson has named Redmond in the side but will monitor his injury over the Christmas period.

Otago has had a frustrating run with the weather this season with its opening two first-class games ruined by poor weather and its opening one-day game against Canterbury in Christchurch on Sunday washed out without a ball being bowled.

Our journalists are your neighbours

We are the South's eyes and ears in crucial council meetings, at court hearings, on the sidelines of sporting events and on the frontline of breaking news.

As our region faces uncharted waters in the wake of a global pandemic, Otago Daily Times continues to bring you local stories that matter.

We employ local journalists and photographers to tell your stories, as other outlets cut local coverage in favour of stories told out of Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
