Four days of aggressive riding earned New Zealand pro cycling team PureBlack Racing second place behind Bissell Pro Cycling in the general classification at the Joe Martin Stage Race in Arkansas, United States.
In an encouraging finish for the newly established New Zealand team, Louis Crosby also won the under-23 overall leader white jersey in his debut professional race.
PureBlack's Mike Northey crossed the line fifth in the 90-minute criterium today to secure fourth overall in the individual general classification.
PureBlack sports director Carl Williams described the results as "a massive achievement."
"To say we're proud of the team seems like an understatement," he said.
PureBlack Racing has just been invited to the Tour of Utah, one the biggest races in the United States, from August 9-14.
