Tevez told the club earlier this month that he wanted to leave after falling out with City officials.
But City said in a statement today that the Argentina striker has now "expressed his absolute commitment to the club and formally withdrew his transfer request".
The statement added that after "clear the air" talks, Tevez's "contract remains unchanged and both Carlos and the football club are keen to focus on the opportunities that lie ahead."
