Aussie, Aussie, Aussie.

Australians finished one, two and three at the North Otago Legends pro-am in Oamaru on Saturday.

Glenn Joyner, of the Sunshine Coast, shot 67 to continue his strong play in New Zealand.

Tim Elliott and Mike Harwood finished a shot back at 68.

Joyner had not played at the North Otago Golf Club before and said he felt "free" without any expectations or any chance to over-think the course.

"I hit it pretty well, and I putted really solid," he said.

He tallied five birdies and no bogies.

Joyner has had a good run of late, winning at Rangiora, and finishing one shot back at four events.

At a 10.30am shotgun start, 44 pros teed off at the one-day strokeplay North Otago Legends pro-am,  the biggest event held at the North Otago club in  years.

Tournament director Stan Ruddenklau said it would be up to the committee whether another pro-am would be likely next year, but this year’s had gone "extremely well".
