Brent McEwan, the No 1 and captain, will lead the team against Aorangi and Southland in the first of the interprovincial fixtures.
After showing good form in the trials, Michael Smith (Otago) is at No 2. He did his chances no harm, beating Sungwoo Han and professional Mahal Pearce during the weekend.
Mark Collie (Chisholm Park) is the big improver and will play at No 3. He made his Toro debut while in year 12 at Otago Boys' High School but a back injury and playing cricket have kept him out since.
At No 4, Brandon Hodgson (Otago) had three wins from four matches in the weekend and is a much more mature player this year.
Wakatipu schoolboy Samson Kim (16) is the youngster of the team and will play at No 5, while former New Zealand representative and Otago No 1 Tony Giles brings a wealth of experience to the team at No 6.
Kayne Wardell, who comes from the small country club Allan Grange, is in with a chance at No 7, while Simon Hollyer, at No 8 joins McEwan as the only other player in the Toro quintet in Gisborne last year.
Jamie Anstiss is another Wakatipu schoolboy who had a win and a half during the weekend, to be named at No. 9.
Queenstown's Simon Boland may have been out of the mix on Friday but he emerged from the trials as the only unbeaten player.
Boland beat Thomas Gillan (Otago) and Chris Snow (St Clair) and halved with Samson Kim, to take the final berth in the team.
