Steel fan Bronwyn Blackstock plans to yell until she is hoarse but expects her voice will be drowned out by a sea of Thunderbirds supporters during the teams' ANZ Championship semifinal in Adelaide on Monday.
Blackstock (52) had been keeping her fingers crossed the Steel would qualify for the play-offs because the match coincides with a kindergarten teachers conference she is attending in the South Australian capital.
"We were waiting with bated breath on Monday night to see if they would get through because we knew if they did we would be there," Blackstock said.
"As soon as we knew, we got on to the venue and booked some tickets and, as far as we know, we're the only Steel fans who have booked tickets. There are five of us so we are going to have to make a lot of noise.
"I've been practising for years at Stadium Southland so I've been building up to this."
Blackstock did a quick shop for supplies before leaving for Adelaide yesterday.
