Steel shooter Jodi Brown returns and will captain the side.
She will be joined in the shooting circle by Steel team-mate Te Paea Selby-Rickit.
Kate Shearer and Olivia Bates provide cover.
Former Australian defender Demelza McCloud has stayed on in Dunedin after playing for the Steel this season and will bolster a talented defensive line-up which includes New Zealand under-21 players Storm Purvis and Zoe Walker.
There are no chinks in the midcourt, either, with exciting trio Gina Crampton, Shannon Francois and Stacey Peeters expected to shine.
Otago will be without Steel defender Louise Thayer, who has headed overseas for six months.
Fellow defender Jaimee Power is also overseas.

"Our aim is to bring home the cup this year."
Otago will open its campaign against Waikato, in Dunedin on September 2.
