NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi this morning said State Highway 88 was closed between Sawyers Bay and Port Chalmers.
"Due to flooding, State Highway 88 is closed between Station Road and Borlases Road," NZTA said.
In an update about 1.10pm NZTA advised the road had reopened.
