The New Zealand pairing of Anton Hood and Courtney Smith had a win and a loss on the second day of the world mixed doubles qualifying event in Scotland yesterday.
A third straight win at the tournament, 9-3 over Belgium, was followed by a nail-biter against Finland. It was 6-6 in the final end before Finland scored the winner.
The New Zealanders play Slovakia today.
