Competitors from country schools dominated the individual events with Olivia Ollerenshaw (East Otago) winning the intermediate girls race in 39min 26sec from Shannon Hope (Bayfield) in 39min 50sec and Jodie Llewyllen (Columba) in 45min 03sec.
Anna Lindsay (St Hilda's) won the junior girls title in 39min 54sec.
Jonah Smith (King's) won the senior boys race in 52min 31sec.
Ben Wardhaugh (Otago Boys') was 62sec back in second and Pat Williams (King's) third in 56min 10sec.
Connor Sandri (Waitaki Boys') won the intermediate boys race in 35min 20sec from Jim Flanagan (Kings) in 36min 37sec and Tom Jackson (Waitaki Boys') in 37min 44sec.
Luke Hurdle (Cromwell College) was the winner of the junior boys title in 37min 59sec.
There were 104 pupils competing in the events on the West Taieri course.
The Columba College pair of Sian English and Laura Bridger won the senior girls team race in 51min 33sec.
Columba College won all the girls team events with Hanna English and Bailey Saville winning the intermediate title in 34min 34sec and Charlotte Calder and Phoebe Swale the junior girls race in 37min 47sec.
The senior boys team race was won by Hamish Cooper and Lachie McGregor (Otago Boys') in 48min 42sec and the intermediate boys title was won by the John McGlashan pair of Oli Chignell and Hamish Burrow in 32min 33sec.
The senior mixed race was won by South Otago's Millie Shaw and Regan Hunter in 53min 48sec.
