OBHS extended its lead at the top in the senior men's competition after withstanding a strong-finishing Bombers side 72-67 at the Edgar Centre on Saturday.
The side notched its eighth win in nine contests and stretched its lead over the second-placed Bombers to four points.
Ethan Carruthers top-scored with 26 points in the absence of Luke Aston, and proved the difference between the two teams.
He beat his perimeter defender off the dribble at will, then either threw himself into contact or rose up at the elbow to hang and hit a much-improved mid-range jumper.
Murray Clarke added 21 points for OBHS, whose double-digit second-quarter lead was erased mid-way through the fourth.
Steve Robinson led the Bombers with 17 points.
Earlier, the Comets claimed their second scalp of the season by disposing of a slumping five-man Magic team 81-61.
Caley Watson scored 21 points, Adam Beissel had 17 and Samuel McKenzie added 15 for the Comets, who were far too efficient for their severely depleted opposition.
Mitch McRae went down shooting for the Magic, nailing eight threes on his way to 36 points in vain.
The Falcons had a great afternoon.
They saw the second and third-placed Bombers and Magic both lose before taking the court, then proceeded to thump a fractured Saints unit 96-54 in the day's final fixture.
The Saints led 17-16 after the first quarter, but then stagnated with the ball and looked uninterested in defence as they were outscored 80-37 the rest of the way.
Mike Dawson was outstanding for the Falcons, extinguishing any thoughts of a Saints rally late in the third-quarter with a 12-point flurry on just four shots.
He finished with 27 points, including a rare four-point play, as the Falcons delighted in converting their points differential from negative to positive at the Saints' expense.
The Falcons sit in fourth place on 17 points, but are within striking distance of the Magic in third .
The result leaves the Saints with a 2-7 record, in joint last place with the rising Comets on 13 competition points.
