Top United States synchronised swimming coach Lala Smith is holding clinics for coaches and swimmers at Moana Pool at the weekend.
She is a member of the Santa Clara Club in California that regularly produces competitors for the Olympic Games.
Smith attended the Oceania championships in Samoa and was engaged by Synchro Swimming New Zealand to hold clinics around the country.
She will hold practical and theoretical sessions at Moana Pool over the next two days.
"The clinics are designed to help experienced and beginner coaches in New Zealand to lift our standards," former Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Lisa Daniels said.
The Daniels sisters competed against Smith when they trained in Canada.
