The New Zealand taekwondo team have returned from Canada with five Commonwealth championships medals.
The seven-strong team won one silver, and four bronze medals, shading Australia who managed one silver and two bronzes.
The championship was dominated by a large Canadian team.
Wellington's Matthew Beach won a heavyweight silver after losing the final to a Canadian 6-3. Teammate Michael Marsh won the bronze after three tough matches.
In the men's middleweight division, Auckland's Nicolas Dorman won two out of his three bouts to come away with the bronze, and in the lightweight division, Canterbury's Alan Brien had a similar run, winning two out of three to also claim a bronze.
Hayley Schofield, from Lower Hutt, lost her first fight in the women's middleweight division but went on to take the bronze.
New Zealand will next compete in the Oceania Championships in Auckland on December 6-7.
