Claim of 4kg to aid topweight

Topweight Come Fly With Me is set to soar in tomorrow’s Wyndham Cup at Gore.

The 4kg claim of apprentice Amless Bohorun means the Stephen Blair-Edie-trained mare will carry just 1kg more than her main rival.

Come Fly With Me was a hard-fighting third behind impressive winner Taniwha in last month’s Invercargill Gold Cup.

Taniwha’s dominant win capped his rapid rise to open ranks and enabled him to score a hat-trick of victories.

There was a 6kg weight difference between him and Come Fly With Me that day, but Bohorun’s claim will have them almost on level weights tomorrow.

Blair-Edie has  He Aint Heavy as a handy back-up to his top-weighted mare in tomorrow’s $25,000 feature.

The 7yr-old trailed stablemate Come Fly With Me into fourth placing in the Invercargill Gold Cup.

Samantha Wynne rode the galloper on that occasion, but she will be legged aboard rival Stoker’s Rock tomorrow.

The horse looks due to strike her best form after having two runs from John McKay’s Gore stable after previously campaigning in the North Island.

The Blair-Edie stable also lines up Opio Rose in race 2, He’s Mi Brother in race 3 and The Quiet Man in race 9.
