Knight has three horses engaged in the amateur drivers' mobile pace, which opens the 12-race card at Roxburgh racecourse.
The Witch Doctor will be driven by talented Waikato amateur driver Michelle Northcott, and will start from barrier 4 at the 2200m mobile start point.
''From the draw, probably The Witch Doctor will have it over Rock Of Tara,'' Knight said.
Knight tried a different tack with Rock Of Tara, taking him to the Hawea picnic races, and came away with the Hawea Cup.
That form carried on through, as Rock Of Tara won the amateur drivers' race at Omakau on Thursday in the hands of Adam White, who will take the reins again tomorrow.
By a quirk of programming, Rock Of Tara has a chance to win consecutive races on the Central Otago circuit.
The amateur drivers' race was the final event on the Omakau card.
Knight also has Little Joe engaged in the amateur drivers' race. He galloped in the score-up at Omakau and took no part.
''He's a great front-runner or sitting in the trial, but the second line counts against him a wee bit,'' Knight said.
Knight expects an improved run from The Highlight (race 9) following a poor run at Winton on December 21.
''The bloods were out when we got home - we couldn't work out why she went so bad,'' he said.
''She's working good and seems really well. She's probably a place hope from the draw. Graeme Anderson's one [Starsky's Dream] seems to be the winner.''
Expressionist has accepted for two races, but Knight and his co-training wife, Jude, are likely to opt for the Roxburgh Cup.
''I talked to the [Central Courage] syndicate and said three months ago, if he was good enough to win before the Roxburgh Cup, we'd start him in it. That was our aim.''
The win has not come, but the Live Or Die 4yr-old has been good in his past two starts after some health issues.
''We're going to start him in the cup. It's an honour to be there.''
Tartan Trilogy (race 11) needs to make his presence felt - and fast.
The well-bred son of Mach Three and group 1-winning mare Tartan Rover is not living up to his breeding and is starting to run out of chances.
''He doesn't seem to know who his mother and father are,'' Knight said.
''He needs to put his foot in the till pretty soon if we're going to keep going with him.''
