Mmooza continued her remarkable form turnaround since joining West Melton trainer John Howe when she won the Nelson Summer Cup at Richmond Park yesterday.
Mmooza joined the Howe stable two months ago and she has gone from a maiden to win three of her four starts and finish second in the other.
She had been unplaced in seven starts for Murray Pash and another for Don Ross over the previous 12 months.
She won first-up for Howe at the Timaru meeting on December 18.
She has been driven in her wins by John Dunn, who won the Cromwell Cup on Monday with Luckisaladytonight and the Central Otago Cup on January 2 with Rocket Reign.
His brother, Dexter, won the Westport Cup (J D Fortune) and Reefton Cup (Niraadi) late last month.
"I knew nothing about the horse until Dave Donaldson [a part-owner] asked me to take her. I knew Dave socially," Howe said.
Donaldson, of West Melton, shares the ownership of the 4yr-old mare with his son, Adam, Kevin Sturgeon, of Motueka and P Gillespie, of Christchurch.
Howe said he would discuss a programme for Mmooza with the owners.
"We sent her to Nelson because she was so good from a stand," he said.
Mmooza is by Village Jasper and the second foal of Andaman, an unraced Soky's Atom mare whose granddam is Hilarious Guest, the last filly to win the New Zealand Derby in 1982.
Suvarno Hanover, winner of nine races including the 2007 Southland Oaks final from the Howe stable, is nearing the end of her racing career.
She is in foal to Mach Three and will contest a 1-5win race for fillies and mares at Addington on January 23.
Dexter Dunn has advanced his lead in the drivers' premiership to 82 wins after four wins at the Nelson meeting.
He is on target to surpass his top driving tally of 146 wins last season.
The highest total for a season is 161 by Maurice McKendry in the 1988-89 season.
• Exotic Girl won a 2000m (mobile) workout at Rangiora on Saturday in 2.27.3, 0.1sec outside the NZ race record time.
Trained by Malcolm Shinn, she is by Washington VC from Scottish Bella (by Holmes Hanover).
• Holloway, the winner of six races, has been transferred to the stable of Tim Butt and Phil Anderson from Cran Dalgety.
Soncerre is back with Butt and Anderson and Armbro Winger is a newcomer to the stable.
Flaming Action was left with Michelle Wallis after racing at the Auckland Christmas meeting.
Lord Patrol and Miss Boo Kay have also joined Wallis.
Bramley Town is now trained by his Kaiapoi owner Warner Donald.
Bramley Town won five races, including the 2008 Nelson Winter Cup when trained by Andrew Stuart.
Darv Habben has joined Brent Lilley at Kaiapoi.
