Champion reinsman Dexter Dunn put on a driving clinic, bagging five wins at Forbury Park last night.

Dunn set tongues wagging when he drove the winners of five of the first six winners on the Forbury Park card.

The haul made a significant dent in the 30-win lead rival driver Blair Orange had in the national drivers premiership going into last night. Dunn was moved into $11 odds to win the national championship after last night's meeting.

Two of the reinsman's victories helped continue the brilliant recent form of Tahakopa trainer Brian Norman.

Norman produced Ace Commander to win race 1, yesterday's feature trot, courtesy of a front-running Dunn drive.

Ace Commander was set down to a fight a home-straight battle with Trouble Giero who galloped and left his rival more than three lengths clear in the lead.

Dunn later produced a vastly different drive to win on the Norman-trained Robbie Royal to win race 5.

He weaved a path to the outside of the track, dodging galloping and tiring runners, before letting the trotter down for his finish.

Shane Forgie, of Outram, shares with the trainer in the ownership of both of Norman's winners.

Ace Commander and Robbie Royal gave Forgie his first winning double as an owner.

Ace Commander gave Forgie's father, Lawrence, who also shares in the ownership of the horse, his first win as an owner.

Dunn also scored wins with Gear Change in race 2, Dodgethebullet in race 3 and Sky City King in race 6.

All of the wins on last night's nine-race card went to just two households.

Matthew Williamson and his partner, Charlotte Purvis, each reined home two winners and were the only drivers apart from Dunn to win races.

Purvis urged the best out of the Brad Mowbray-trained Four Starzzz Shiraz in race 9, last night's feature pace.

Williamson scored with maiden 3yr-old winner Dolce Denario for Mowbray.

The trainer's double came at the end of a big three days for his stable.

Earlier in the week, it was announced his star mare, Delishka, was sold for a large sum and will soon be exported to the United States.

Purvis also won race 4 with Madison Jane and Williamson also won race 8 with Kotare Elite.
