The 27-year-old's contract with the Highlanders and New Zealand Rugby runs out at the end of this season. It is the second one year deal he has signed and it seems certain he will test the overseas market.
Naholo is in a logjam of players seeking a spot in the back three of the All Blacks for this year's World Cup.
An overseas website is reporting English clubs Wasps and London Irish are both interested in the flying Fijian.
Naholo had a mixed season with the All Blacks last year, though most of it was not his fault.
Rieko Ioane is locked in with the All Blacks on the left wing, leaving fullback and right wing open.
Ben Smith can play equally well on the wing or at fullback and will get a start. The All Blacks decided to play Damian McKenzie at fullback in the latter part of the season as part of a new two playmakers system which met with limited success.
That pushed Smith to the right wing, so Naholo missed out. Then throw in the selectors' infatuation with Jordie Barrett and the promise of George Bridge and Naholo is obviously in a real dog fight to get a World Cup spot.
He played eight tests last year and scored four tries.
London Irish is not in the English Premiership but leads the second tier Championship comfortably. It will want a big signing to give the club some impetus, provided it goes up to the Premiership.
Former Highlanders first five-eighth Lima Sopoaga is at Wasps and former Highlanders centre Malakai Fekitoa is also heading to the club from France next season.
Wasps are believed to be losing a few quality players at the end of the season.
Naholo had been linked to an offshore move before, signing for a French club at the start of the 2015 season, before getting out of his contract.
Naholo returned early from his off season to begin training with the Highlanders earlier this month.
