Kings of Otago

An excellent rugby season for King’s High School was recognised when no fewer than four of their students were named in national squads last week.

King’s First XV players (above, from left) Jake Hill, Jeremiah Tuhega-Vaitupu, Lafa Tofiga and Henry Hunter are in Hamilton this week for training and games.

Prop Hunter made the New Zealand Schools team, first five Jake Hill the New Zealand Barbarians under-18 squad, and fullback Tofiga and second five Tuhega-Vaitupu the New Zealand Maori under-18 squad.

The King’s players are the only Otago representatives at the national camp.

Southland Boys’ also have four players involved.
