Matt Faddes will be in the south until the end of the 2019 season.

The Otago Rugby Football Union announced today it had signed Faddes through until the 2019 season. That backs up the outside back's commitment to play for the Highlanders until 2019.

Faddes has played 33 games for Otago since making his debut in 2011. He made his debut for the Highlanders last year and ended up scoring 10 tries for the franchise last season.

“Having Matt extend his contract is great for both Matt and Otago Rugby, he is a good Southern Man who has taken his game to another level during the last couple of seasons” Otago head coach Cory Brown said.
