Rugby: Injured Read stays in Melbourne

Injured Crusaders No 8 Kieran Read was remained in Melbourne following last night's shock 28-19 loss to the Rebels.

The All Blacks loose forward was dropped at the height of his jump in a lineout and injured his pelvis after coming onto the field as a substitute at AAMI Park.

Read left the field and will have his injury assessed in Melbourne tomorrow. His Crusaders teammates are due to arrive in Christchurch today.
