The next destination for Sonny Bill Williams could be South Africa, after reports from the Republic his agent Khoder Nasser was hoping to tempt Super Rugby franchise the Stormers into signing the All Black.

Williams, who is off contract at the end of 2012, has been widely tipped to return to league with the Roosters next year but few really know what he is going to do until it's confirmed.

He could still re-sign with the New Zealand Rugby Union or make a move to Europe as he chases more cash.

According to a report in South African paper Die Burger, Nasser was in Cape Town investigating opportunities for his client and said a contract with the Stormers was not out of the question.

Nasser reportedly said it was up to the Stormers whether they wanted to offer Williams a contract but that his client liked Cape Town and would consider a move there.

Crowds flocked to Cape Town airport last year to welcome Williams when the Crusaders played there and fans chanted his name at the stadium.

Nasser is in Cape Town, largely looking into boxing opportunities for Williams and the 26-year-old has been linked to a fight with South African Francois Botha in Cape Town.

Nasser is also not shy of whipping up interest in his client in an effort to increase his asking price and Stormers chief executive Rob Wagner said they weren't in discussions about any deal.

"We are not currently in any negotiations with Sonny Bill Williams or his agent,'' Wagner told iAfrica.com.
