Taieri fullback Glen Beadle was in dynamic form and scored three of Taieri's 13 tries when Pirates was beaten 79-20 in Dunedin club rugby at Peter Johnstone Park today.

Wing William Tagicakibau scored two tries and first five-eighth Michael Collins kicked seven conversions.

Harbour came back strongly in the second spell to give Dunedin a fright before losing 27-24 at Kettle Park. University A had its third successive win when it downed Alhambra-Union 38-12 at the University Oval.

It has moved the students into the top four in the competition.

Zingari-Richmond gained its third win of the season when it beat Green Island 33-18 at Montecillo.

Taieri still leads the competition on 35 points and is followed by Southern 33, Dunedin 32, University A 26, Alhambra-Union 22, Kaikorai 21, Zingari-Richmond 17, Harbour 16, Pirates 2 and Green Island 0.
