Despite going out in the singles qualifying, Kiwi Marina Erakovic regained her composure to win her first round doubles match at the US$220,000 WTA event in Linz, Austria.
Erakovic and world No 53 Elena Vesnina (RUS) beat wildcards Tamira Paszek (AUT) and Lucie Safarova (CZE) 6-4 6-2.
The pair face Annabel Medina Garrigues (ESP) and Anastasia Pavlyuchenko (RUS) in the next round.
