Melancholic in a different way

For the last month there has been a foreboding presence in Leith; a dark angel, some 27 feet tall, created almost entirely out of knives. At Newkirkgate shopping centre, at the foot of Leith Walk, surrounded by the ordinary churn of buses, shoppers and traffic, this towering figure has stood for 27 days, reminding passersby of those who have been lost to knife violence.
