I have unwittingly developed a 'thing' for white button-down shirts.

Like almost everything else I blame social media for subconciously planting the desire to purchase something I don't actually need into my mind.

After several months of my news feed being blasted with images of Northern European women making scandi-style look effortlessly cool and easy to pull off, it was inevitable that I, and pretty much every other seeing women would want one too.

Or perhaps it’s inherent in me due to my Nordic decent, but that wouldn't explain my disdain for ABBA?!

Regardless of how the seed was planted...a white button-down is destined to be a wardrobe staple for me this summer.

Here's some expected and unexpected ways to style your button-down if this bit of brain-washing proves effective and prompts you to rush out and buy one.

Side note*I know some of these suggestions are utterly obvious and you'll be like "Of course I know to button up my shirt" but sometimes we forget the simplist things.
